This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 30 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Almond, Prawns Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Almond Crusted Prawns With Wasabi Mayo 1 cup Almond 20-25 Prawns peeled and deveined boiled and chopped 2 Eggs beaten to taste Salt 3 teaspoons Lemon juice 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida) 1 tablespoon Cornflour/ corn starch to deep fry Oil 1/2 teaspoon Wasabi sauce 3 tablespoons Mayonnaise Method Break the eggs into a bowl, add salt, 2 tsps lemon juice, refined flour and cornflour and whisk to form a smooth and thick batter. Rest it for some time. Spread the almond flakes in a plate and lightly crush them. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the prawns in the batter and shake the extra batter off. Roll in the almond flakes and place on a plate. To make the wasabi mayo, mix the wasabi, mayonnaise and remaining lemon juice well. Put the prawns, one by one, into the hot oil and deep fry on medium heat till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Garnish with a fresh slit red chilli and a sprig of parsley and serve warm with the wasabi mayo in a small bowl.
