Roughly chop onion and add. Add salt, cumin powder and a little water and process into a coarse paste. Transfer into a large bowl. Add gram flour and baking powder and mix well. Add olive oil and mix well. Heat a non-stick waffle iron, grease with oil and pour some mixture and spread it evenly. Close and cook till golden and crisp. Remove and place on a serving plate. Make more waffles similarly.
