This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 27 Jul 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Gulkand, Rice Cuisine Punjabi Course Desserts Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Select Taste Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Gulkand Phirni 3 tablespoons Gulkand (kesari) 5 tablespoons Rice soaked cups Milk 2 1/2 + 1/4 1/4 cup Sugar 4 tablespoons Rose syrup 2 tablespoons Pistachios chopped Method Put rice and ΒΌ cup milk in a mixer jar and grind coarsely. Heat remaining milk in a non-stick pan and add ground rice. Cook, stirring continuously, till the rice is fully cooked and the mixture thickens. Add sugar and gulkand, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Pour the phirni into the earthen kasore and drizzle a little rose syrup over each kasore. Garnish with pistachios.
