By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 Aug 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Whole Green Grams, Tomatoes Cuisine Indian Course Dals and Kadhis Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Moong Curry 250 grams Whole Green Grams to taste Tomatoes 4 tablespoons Oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 2 large Onions sliced 1 teaspoon Ginger paste 1 teaspoon Garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 1 large Tomato sliced 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder Method Boil water in a deep pan. Add green gram, salt and cook till soft. Drain and set aside. Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add cumin seeds. Once they crackle, add onions and sauté till light brown. Add ginger paste, garlic paste and sauté for two minutes. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and tomato. Cook till tomatoes are soft. Add one cup water, salt and allow to boil. Add cooked green gram, garam masala powder and mix well. Cover and simmer for twenty minutes.
