Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves and onion and saute for 2 minutes. Add tuvar dal and moong dal and mix. Slit green chillies and add. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix. Add 2 cups water and tamarind leaves and mix. Cover the cooker with the lid and cook under pressure till 3 whistles are given out. Let it remain in the cooker for 10 minutes. Open the lid and serve hot.
