By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Aug 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Walnut kernels, Refined flour (maida) Cuisine Other Course Desserts Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 1-1.30 hour Serve 4 Taste Select Taste Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Walnut And Spice Cake 1 cup Walnut kernels broken 2 cups + 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida) 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg powder 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder 1/2 teaspoon Clove powder 100 grams Butter 30 measure Sugar Free 2 Eggs 1 teaspoon Soda bicarbonate 1/2 teaspoon Salt 1/2 cup Raisins 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon Milk Method Preheat oven to 180ºC/ 350ºF/Gas Mark 4. Grease a nine-inch loaf tin. Cream butter until soft. Add Sugar Free and blend these ingredients until they are fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Sift flour with clove powder, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, soda bicarbonate and salt. Stir the sifted ingredients into the butter mixture in about three parts alternately with thirds of the raisins and walnuts. Add milk and mix. Transfer the batter into the greased loaf tin. Bake in the preheated oven for about an hour. Let the cake cool in the tin for some time before turning it onto the wire rack. Slice and serve.
