By Sanjeev Kapoor 02 Jun 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Walnut Kernels , Refined Flour Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 1.30-2 hour Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Walnut Biscotti 1 cup Walnut Kernels chopped 115 grams Refined Flour diced 3/4 cups + tablespoons Castor sugar (caster sugar) 2 Eggs 1 tablespoon Walnut oil or olive oil 2 3/4 teaspoons Refined flour (maida) 1 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder 1/2 cup Whole wheat flour (atta) Method Preheat the oven to 160°C/325°F/Gas Mark 3. Cream the butter and caster sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and walnut oil or olive oil and mix well. Sift the refined flour and baking powder together over the mixture in the bowl. Add the wheat flour and walnut halves. Mix well and knead into a soft, but not sticky dough. Shape the dough into four logs, seven inches long and two inches in diameter. Place the logs a little apart on the baking tray. Bake for about thirty five minutes or until golden in colour. Remove from the oven and transfer the logs to a wire rack to cool for about ten minutes .Slice each log diagonally into half inch thick slices. Place the slices on the baking tray for another fifteen minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer the biscotti to a wire rack to cool. Store in airtight tins.
