Paneer slices replace bread slices in these fantastic sandwiches.

Paneer Sandwich

Main Ingredients

Paneer (cottage cheese), Strawberries

  • Paneer (cottage cheese)
    8 quarter
  • Strawberries hulled
    as required
  • Mint chutney
    as required
  • Potatoes blanched, peeled and sliced
    2 medium
  • Beetroot boiled, peeled and sliced
    1 medium
  • Tomatoes cut into roundels
    2 medium
  • Cucumbers cut into roundels
    2 medium
  • Onions cut into thin strips


Step 1

Apply mint chutney on one side of all the paneer slices. Arrange 4 slices on the work top with chutney side up.

Step 2

Place layers of potato, beetroot, tomato, cucumber and onion.

Step 3

Cover each with another slice of paneer, chutney side facing down and press lightly.

Step 4

Heat a griller and cook the sandwiches till golden brown.

Step 5

Arrange onion rings and thin strips of green capsicum on a serving plate.

Step 6

Cut each sandwich into 2 pieces, transfer them onto the serving plate and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
