Ingredients list for Tilwale Biscuits

  • 4 tablespoons White Sesame Seeds
  • 1 1/2 cup Refined Flour sifted
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 3 tablespo Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 2 Egg yolks

Method

  1. Preheat the oven at 180° C. Dry roast sesame seeds for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Transfer half the sesame seeds into a mixer jar, cool completely and grind into a coarse powder.
  3. Whisk together butter and sugar in a bowl. Add vanilla essence and egg yolks and whisk into a smooth batter.
  4. Add the ground sesame seeds powder and maida and knead into dough.Refrigerate the dough for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, divide into small portions and shape into small biscuits.
  6. Coat the biscuits with the remaining sesame seeds.
  7. Place a silicon mat on a baking dish and arrange the biscuits on it.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Transfer into a serving plate and serve.
