Ingredients list for Chatpate Kand Fritters
- 2 1/2 cups Purple yam peeled cut into 1 inch thick strips
- Chaat masala
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon Black salt (kala namak)
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
Method
- Heat sufficient water in a deep non-stick pan and blanch the purple yam. Drain.
- Heat oil in another non-stick pan, add the purple yam and sauté for two minutes on medium heat.
- Add the black salt, salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala, mix well and cook on a medium heat for eight to ten minutes or till the purple yam turns to golden brown in colour.
- Serve immediately.
