Ingredients list for Tomato And Ginger Chutney

  • 4 large Tomatoes roughly chopped
  • 2 inch piece Ginger peeled
  • 2 teaspoon Oil
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds (til) roasted and powdered
  • 1 tablespoon Peanuts roasted and powdered
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Jaggery (gur) grated
  • to taste Salt

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add tomatoes, ginger and onion. Cook on medium heat till the mixture become brown and homogenous. This may take round twenty minutes. Let cool. Add sesame, peanut, cumin and red chilli powder. Grind with jaggery and salt. Store in an airtight bottle to use as required.
