Fun Fusion meal

This menu is sure to build an appetite as soon as you announce it. The best part though is that it gets made in 30 minutes only. Take a look to find out how to go about it!

How to make : Pulled Chicken Burger, Creole Mushroom Rice, Sticky Date Pancakes

Shopping list

500 grams chicken leg boneless

4 burger buns

1 small bottle of mustard paste

1 small bottle of olive oil

1 Iceberg lettuce

1 small packet of sundried tomatoes

50 grams of walnuts

1 packet of button mushrooms

1 green capsicum

1 bottle of paprika powder

1 gram of saffron

1 small block of processed cheese

1 small packet of parsley

1 packet of seedless dates

1 small packet of baking powder

1 small packet baking soda

½ dozen bananas

250 grams of castor sugar

100 ml of fresh cream

For faster preparation

Marinate the chicken with garlic, mustard, seasoning and oil. Make the pesto with sundried tomatoes, walnut and olive oil. Process the tomatoes, onions and lettuce. Chop the onions, dice the capsicums. Dry roast the cumin seeds and then crush them. Blanch and chop the tomatoes. Soak the saffron in milk. Grate the processed cheese. Make the creole sauce. Make toffee sauce for pancakes. Then soak and puree the dates, peel and slice the bananas. Prepare the batter for pancakes with dates puree, buttermilk and flour. Grind grain sugar to make powdered sugar.

How to go about it

Bake the marinated chicken and then shred it. Halve the buns and then lightly toast them. Assemble the burger. Toss the rice and spread it on a serving plate with creole sauce, grated cheese, olives and parsley, lightly bake and serve hot. Sauté the bananas. Add baking powder and baking soda to the batter and make the pancakes. Serve hot with toffee sauce, bananas and by dusting powdered sugar.
