Republic Day 2023 : Fond Food Memories from Childhood
This year, India will be celebrating its 74th Republic Day and it is a moment of pride for us as the constitution ensured the growth of our nation. The constitution provided the people with a path that enabled them to take Independent India to heights one could never imagine. Celebrating success has always been a boost to our motivation and the nations too. When we talk about celebration, there is one thing that comes to everyone’s mind- the spread of food it brings with it.
As kids, our Republic Day celebration used to begin with a spirit of patriotism that followed the immediate feeling of hunger, isn’t that true? No matter what one says, snacks or a meal affects everyone’s mood to make it positive!
Hence, this Republic Day, while we celebrate the development of the nation, I would like to take you all back to the childhood moments of this auspicious occasion with my favourite recipes!
The first bite of a crunchy samosa makes you feel heavenly. Once your tongue touches the masala, you feel complete! Samosas have been a part of every Indian occasion and it never fails to instill an instant sense of happiness. Here is my recipe of Samosa that will surely leave you wanting for more:

When I was a child, there was no occasion that was celebrated without Idli and Medu Vada on the menu. Do you agree? As a breakfast item, this dish has proven to be wholesome and filling. It has made its mark as one we cannot do without. For a wholesome feeling on a great day, you should definitely try this, and specially on Republic Day:

When someone says dessert, I say Jalebi! Also known as the national dessert of India, what better occasion to immerse yourself in the excellent flavour of Jalebi? The one and only dessert that followed a great breakfast meal on Republic Day was Jalebi. Hence, I associate this dessert with one of the most important celebrations of our nation. Along with me, you too can enjoy this brilliant dessert by following this recipe:

So, on this Republic Day, enjoy the occasion and all the food it brings with it. While we rejoice our constitution and the freedom fighters who enabled the existence of independent India, we must also look back on our younger days with the food we eat!
I wish you all a very Happy Republic Day!
