Chicken Wonton Soup

Ingredients

  • 200 grams chicken mince
  • 8 wonton sheets
  • 4-5 cups chicken stock
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • ½ teaspoon chicken stock cube powder
  • ½ tablespoon fresh garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped spring onion greens
  • 1 inch celery, cut into pieces
  • 8-10 fresh spinach leaves 

Method

  1. Mix together chicken mince, pepper powder, salt, coriander leaves, chicken stock cube powder, garlic paste, soy sauce, oyster sauce and spring onion greens in a bowl.
  2. Apply some water on wonton sheets, place a portion of chicken mixture in the centre and shape into wontons.
  3. Heat a deep non-stick pan. Add stock, celery and salt and simmer. Add prepared wontons and stir lightly. Cook for 8-10 minutes.
  4. Add spinach leaves, mix well and simmer till the wontons are cooked and spinach wilts.
  5. Serve hot.
