By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 Oct 2016 in Recipes Veg New Update Aloo Gobhi Methi Main Ingredients Potatoes, Cauliflower Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 2 medium potatoes, cut into wedges 1 small cauliflower, cut into florets 1 cup finely chopped fresh fenugreek (methi) 1 tablespoon oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds ½ teaspoon asafoetida 1 inch ginger, cut into strips 2 green chillies, slit ½ teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon chaat masala Salt to taste Method Heat one tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan; add cumin seeds and asafoetida. When the seeds begin to change colour, add ginger, green chilli and sauté for one minute. Add potatoes. Cover and cook for 3 minutes Add cauliflower florets, sprinkle around two tablespoons of water and cook for 5 minutes. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, salt and methi. Mix well.
