Apple and Walnut Raita A perfect combination of caramelized apples and walnuts with creamy yogurt. Apples add an amazing dimension and walnuts add a nutty crunch, can be accompanied with any dish and also can be eaten on its own. By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Apple and Walnut Raita Main Ingredients Apples, Walnuts, Yogurt Cuisine Indian Course Raitas Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 0-5 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 3-4 medium apples peeled and cut into small cubes 6 tablespoons walnuts broken + a few for garnish 2½ cups yogurt 2 tablespoons sugar ½ teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder ½ teaspoon chaat masala Salt to taste Method Heat a non-stick pan. Add apples, sugar and walnuts and mix well and let the mixture caramelize. In the meanwhile, take yogurt in a bowl. Add red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala and salt and mix well. Chill the yogurt in the refrigerator. Once the apples and walnuts are caramelized, transfer them onto a plate and let them cool down to room temperature.
