By Sanjeev Kapoor 11 Mar 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Bajra, Green Gram Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Bajra Khichdi 1/3 cup Bajra soaked 3 tablespoons Green Gram to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Pure ghee 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida Method Grind the bajra and moong dal coarsely in a mixer. Combine the bajra-moong dal mixture with salt and two and a half cups of water in a pressure cooker and cook under pressure for three to four whistles. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida. When the seeds change colour pour it over the cooked bajra khichdi and mix well. Serve hot with kadhi or yogurt.
