Bajra Wada A traditional Gujarati snack made from bajra flour and a blend of spices. They’re perfect for enjoying with green chutney and a steaming cup of masala chai. By Sanjeev Kapoor 31 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Pearl millet flour (bajra flour) Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients 1½ cups pearl millet flour (bajra flour) ½ cup yogurt ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder ¾ teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds 1 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander Salt to taste 2 green chillies chopped Oil for deep frying Tomato ketchup to serve Method Take bajra flour in a bowl. Add yogurt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, white sesame seeds, chopped coriander, salt and green chillies. Add sufficient water and knead into a dough. Divide dough into equal portions and shape each portion into medium sized tikkis and slightly flatten them. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, add the discs and deep fry on medium heat till nice and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper. Serve hot with tomato ketchup. Subscribe to our Newsletter!
