Ingredients for Baked Fish with Broccoli Sauce Recipe

  • Boneless Fish Fillet cut into 2 equal pieces 2

  • Broccoli florets 15-18

  • Oil 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic cloves 2

  • Salt to taste

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Sweet red chilli sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh red chillies 2

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Olive oil 2 teaspoon for greasing

  • Butter 1 teaspoon

  • Refined flour 1 teaspoon

  • Milk chilled 1/3 cup

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Processed cheese 30 grams

  • Red capsicum strips for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Take ginger-garlic paste and red chilli sauce in a bowl.

Step 2

Slice red chillies and add to the bowl along with lemon juice, fish, salt and 2 teaspoons olive oil. Mix well and set aside to marinate for ½ hour.

Step 3

Preheat oven at 200º C.

Step 4

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic cloves and broccoli florets, sprinkle little water and add salt. Toss to mix and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Let the garlic remain in the pan and transfer the broccoli into a grinder jar. Cool.

Step 6

Grease a baking pan with olive oil. Place marinated fish on it along with the marinade, put pan in preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Step 7

Add little water to broccoli and grind into a smooth puree.

Step 8

Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add refined flour and saute. Add milk and mix well. Add broccoli puree and mix well.

Step 9

Add crushed peppercorns and mix well. Add salt and mix well.

Step 10

Grate cheese into the pan and mix well till smooth. Switch off heat.

Step 11

Pour broccoli sauce in a soup plate and spread. Place the baked fish on it, garnish with red capsicum strips and serve immediately.
