By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Refined flour (maida), Yeast Cuisine Fusion Course Breads Prep Time 41-50 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Basic Bread Dough ½ kilogram Refined flour (maida) 20 grams Yeast dried 22 grams Sugar 20 grams Milk powder 5 grams Salt 40 grams Butter for greasing Oil Method Take yeast in a bowl. Add sugar and 1 tablespoon water and heat in a microwave for 10 seconds. Remove from heat, mix and set aside to cool. Take refined flour in another bowl. Add milk powder and salt and mix well. Add dissolved yeast and mix lightly. Add about 2 cups chilled water and knead well into a soft dough. Add butter and knead again. Cover with a wet muslin cloth and set aside to rise for 15 minutes in a warm and dry place. After 15 minutes, knock back the dough. Grease a bread tin with oil and apply little oil on the worktop also. Place dough on worktop and spread it into a sheet. Bring sides together and press well. Roll dough lightly into a bread loaf. Put loaf in greased tin and press lightly. Set aside for 20-25 minutes in a warm and dry place. Preheat oven to 180°C. Put tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
