Ingredients list for Bread and Butter Pudding

  • 12 Bread Slices
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 250 millilitres Cream
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup White chocolate
  • as required Raisins
  • as required Nuts

Method

  1. Preheat the oven at 180° C. Heat plenty of water in a deep non-stick pan.
  2. Whisk cream and egg yolk in a bowl, add eggs and mix well.Add milk and mix well.
  3. Keep the bowl over the hot water, add sugar and whisk continuously. When the custard thickens remove it from the double boiler.
  4. Add white chocolate and whisk. Add butter and whisk well. Cut bread slices into four pieces and arrange them in the baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle raisins and nuts on it.Spread the custard on the bread slices.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
