By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Mar 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Whole wheat flour, Refined flour Cuisine Fusion Course Breads Prep Time 51-60 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Brown Bread - SK Khazana 2 cups Whole wheat flour 2 cups Refined flour 2 tablespoons Milk powder 2 teaspoons Castor sugar 1 teaspoon Salt 2 tablespoons Activated yeast 2 tablespoons Softened butter as required Milk wash as required Melted butter Method Sieve whole wheat flour, refined flour and milk powder into a bowl. Add castor sugar and salt and mix well. Make a well in the centre, add yeast and mix. Add sufficient water and knead into soft dough. Dust plain flour on the worktop, keep the dough on it and knead stretching it a little. Apply softened butter and continue to knead. Keep the dough in a bowl, cover with a damp cloth and set aside for 20-25 minutes to prove. Dust flour on the worktop, keep the dough on it and knock back the dough. Roll the dough into a disc of medium thickness. Fold from one end to the other to make a log. Place the log in a greased and dusted bread tin and cover with a damp muslin cloth. Keep aside to prove for 15-20 minutes. Preheat the oven at 180ยบ C. Brush milk on top, keep the tin in the preheated oven bake it for 15-20 minutes.
