Ingredients for Brownie Strawberry Kabab Recipe

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 cup + for dusting

  • Dark chocolate , melted 1 cup

  • Cocoa powder 1/2 cup

  • Strawberries , hulled 8

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1 3/4 cups

  • Eggs 3

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Coffee decoction 1 tablespoon

  • Melted butter 1 cup

  • Hazelnuts , crushed 4 tablespoons

  • Butter for greasing

  • Marshmallows 30-32

  • Cream cheese 2-3 tablespoons

  • Icing sugar 2-3 tablespoons

  • Chocolate sauce for drizzling

  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnishing


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Put castor sugar in a bowl, add eggs, one by one, and beat with an electric beater till light and fluffy.

Step 3

Add vanilla essence, coffee decoction, melted butter and melted dark chocolate and beat till all the ingredients are well mixed.

Step 4

Sift together flour and cocoa powder into the bowl, add 2 tablespoons crushed hazelnuts and fold in well.

Step 5

Grease a baking tin with some butter and dust with some flour. Pour ¾ of the batter and arrange 7-8 marshmallows over it.

Step 6

Pour the remaining batter on top and spread covering the marshmallows. Tap, spread remaining hazelnuts and arrange 7-8 marshmallows on top.

Step 7

Place the tin on a baking tray. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove from the oven, cool and demold.

Step 8

Cut the brownie into 16 equal pieces.

Step 9

Mix together cream cheese and icing sugar in another bowl and fill it in a piping bag.

Step 10

Insert 1 brownie piece, 1 marshmallow, 1 strawberry, 1 marshmallow and another brownie piece onto each skewer and place on a serving platter. Prepare 7 more skewers similarly and place them on the serving platter.

Step 11

Pipe out some cream cheese-icing mixture and drizzle some chocolate sauce on top and serve garnished with mint sprigs.
