Ever imagined what life would be without some meetha? One of oldest flavourings and condiments used by mankind, this ingredient is an instant provider of energy. Also available in various types, sugar is either derived from sugarcane or beetroot.

Ingredients for Candied Pumpkin Seeds Recipe

  • Sugar 1 cup

  • Pumpkin seeds 2 cup

  • Sesame seeds (til) ½ cup

  • Cinnamon powder 1 tablespoon

Method

Step 1

Heat ½ cup water in a non-stick pan. Add sugar and cinnamon powder, stir and bring to a boil.

Step 2

Add sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds and cook till the liquid evaporates and leaves a syrup-like coating on the seeds, stirring continuously.

Step 3

Transfer the mixture onto a silicon sheet and separate the seeds with a fork. Set aside to cool for 15 minutes.

Step 4

Serve or store it in an air tight container.
