By Sanjeev Kapoor 26 Jul 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Split Bengal gram, Pure ghee Cuisine Indian Course Mithais Prep Time 41-50 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Chana Dal Halwa - SK Khazana 1 cup Split Bengal gram soaked and boiled 1/4 cup Pure ghee a few + for garnish Saffron strands 1/2 cup Khoya / mawa grated 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamon powder 1/2 cup Sugar 2 tablespoons Pistachios sliced 8-10 Cashewnuts havled 2 tablespoons Almond slivers Method Heat a non-stick pan. Add Bengal gram along with its water and mash slightly with a churner. Add ghee and mix well. Add saffron, mix and cook for 5-6 minutes or till the mixture reduces to half. Add khoya, mix and cook till it melts. Add cardamom powder and sugar, mix and cook till sugar dissolves. Add pistachios, cashewnuts and almonds, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
