Ingredients for Chana Dal Halwa - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Split Bengal gram soaked and boiled 1 cup

  • Pure ghee 1/4 cup

  • Saffron strands a few + for garnish

  • Khoya / mawa grated 1/2 cup

  • Green cardamon powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Sugar 1/2 cup

  • Pistachios sliced 2 tablespoons

  • Cashewnuts havled 8-10

  • Almond slivers 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat a non-stick pan. Add Bengal gram along with its water and mash slightly with a churner.

Step 2

Add ghee and mix well. Add saffron, mix and cook for 5-6 minutes or till the mixture reduces to half.

Step 3

Add khoya, mix and cook till it melts. Add cardamom powder and sugar, mix and cook till sugar dissolves.

Step 4

Add pistachios, cashewnuts and almonds, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 5

Garnish with saffron strands and serve hot.
