Ingredients

  • 180 grams multi grain chilla mix
  • 4 teaspoons oil + for drizzling
  • 60 grams cheddar cheese
  • 40 grams mozzarella cheese
  • 6-8 basil leaves
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried red chilli flakes
  • Green chutney to serve

Method

  1. In a large bowl, add multi grain chilla mix, 1cup water and whisk till well combined.
  2. For one portion, heat ½ teaspoon oil of in two small non-stick pans. Pour a portion of batter in each and spread it lightly.
  3. Drizzle oil in both the pans and allow the chilla to cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
  4. Meanwhile, grate cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese in it. Snip and add the basil leaves, dried oregano leaves and dried red chilli flakes. Mix well.
  5. Flip both and cook for 2-3 minutes on the other side. Take them off the heat and place them on a worktop.
  6. Place a portion of the prepared stuffing on one chilla and cover it with the other to make a sandwich.
  7. Heat another non-stick pan, drizzle a little oil in the hot pan, place the chilla sandwich on it. Cook till golden brown and crisp on both sides.
  8. Cut them into half and place them on a serving plate. Serve hot with green chutney.
