Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Shawarma-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breast 200 grams

  • Pita breads 4

  • Salt to taste

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder 1 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Mayonnaise 4 tablespoons

  • Schezwan sauce 4 tablespoons

  • Pickled beetroot sliced as required

  • Pickled cucumber strips as required

  • Mint mayonnaise as required

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C.

Step 2

Taken chicken breasts in a bowl, add salt, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, lemon juice and1 tablespoon oil and mix together well.

Step 3

Place the chicken on a baking tray, keep the tray in the preheated oven and roast for 15 minutes or till fully cooked.

Step 4

Take the tray out of the oven and place the chicken on a chopping board and cut into strips.

Step 5

Heat a non-stick tawa and heat the pita breads on it.

Step 6

For each portion place a pita bread on the worktop, put 1 tablespoon mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon schezwan sauce on it and spread evenly.

Step 7

Keep some of the chicken strips on it and top with pickled beetroot slices, some pickled cucumber strips and some mint mayonnaise and roll.

Step 8

Wrap in a piece of aluminium foil and serve immediately.
