Chicken With Cashewnuts Cashewnuts make this chicken dish extra special By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Jun 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Boneless Chicken, Cashewnuts Cuisine Chinese Course Main Course Chicken Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Chicken With Cashewnuts 400 grams Boneless Chicken cut into 1 inch cubes 3/4 cups Cashewnuts 3 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch 4 tablespoons Oil 10-12 cloves Garlic chopped 1 medium Onion quartered and layers separated 1 medium Carrot thinly sliced 1/2 teaspoon White pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon MSG to taste Salt 3 cups Chicken stock 1 medium Green capsicum cut into 1 inch pieces Method Mix the cornflour with one cup of water. Heat the oil in a wok, add the cashewnuts and stir fry briefly. Drain on absorbent paper and set aside. Add the garlic to the same wok and stir fry briefly. Add the chicken pieces, onion and carrot and continue to stir fry for two to three minutes more. Add the white pepper powder, MSG, salt to taste and stir in the chicken stock. Cook on high heat for two minutes, stirring continuously. Stir in cornflour mixture and capsicum pieces and cook on medium heat for two to three minutes or until the sauce coats the chicken pieces. Add fried cashewnuts, mix well and serve hot.
