Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Cookie Fries- Sk Khazana Recipe

  • Chocolate chips 1/4 cup

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 cups

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Salt a pinch

  • Butter 1 cup

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1 cup

  • Egg 1

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a large bowl,.

Step 2

Put butter in a planetary mixer, add castor sugar and process with the whisk attachment. .

Step 3

Break in the egg and add vanilla essence and process till well combined.

Step 4

Change the attachment to hook, add the flour, and process till a dough is formed. Add chocolate chips and process again.

Step 5

Wrap the dough well in a piece cling wrap and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 6

Place the dough in between two parchment sheets and roll it into a thin rectangular sheet. Trim the edges to even them. Cut the dough into strips to resemble French fries. Refrigerate them for 8-10 minutes.

Step 7

Preheat the oven at 180˚C.

Step 8

Transfer dough strips onto a baking tray, keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 5-8 minutes.

Step 9

Take them out of the oven, arrange them in serving bowl and serve.
