Ingredients list for Chocolate Cinnamon Cookies
- 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon powder
- 3 tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida)
- a pinch Salt
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Lemon zest grated
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups Walnuts chopped
- 3 tablespoons Orange juice
Method
- Preheat oven to 160°C.
- Place butter with refined flour in a bowl and mix well with back of a spoon till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Sieve together cocoa powder and salt into the bowl. Add baking soda, lemon zest, cinnamon powder, sugar and walnuts and mix well
- Add orange juice and mix well to a soft dough.
- Place a silicon mat on a baking tray. Divide dough into 15-20 equal portions and place on the sheet. Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- Take them out and let them cool. Serve or store in airtight containers.
