Ingredients

  • 1 cup refined flour (maida)
  • ½ cup cornflour
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder + to sprinkle
  • A pinch of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar + for garnish
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon oil + to deep fry
  • 8 frozen chocolate bars
  • Cocoa powder for garnish
  • Rabdi for garnish
  • Chocolate sauce to drizzle

Method

  1. Take refined flour, cornflour, cinnamon powder, baking soda, powdered sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl. Add sufficient water and mix well to make a thick batter. Add oil, mix well and set aside to rest for 10 minutes.  
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  3. Coat the chocolate bars with batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  4. Arrange them on a serving plate. Sift cocoa powder and powdered sugar over them. Sprinkle cinnamon powder, place a few spoonsful of rabdi in the centre and drizzle chocolate sauce.
  5. Serve immediately.
