By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Cornmeal, Milk Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Cornmeal Fritters 1/2 cup Cornmeal 1 cup Milk 2 tablespoons Margarine to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Baking powder 1 tablespoon Sugar 2 drops Vanilla essence 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida) 1 Egg beaten to deep fry Oil Method Mix refined flour and cornmeal in a bowl. Add margarine, salt, baking powder and rub in till the mixture resembles bread crumbs. Add sugar, vanilla essence and milk and mix. Add egg and mix. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick kadai. Drop spoons full of batter into the hot oil and deep fry until golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
