And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Creamy Cajun Potatoes Recipe

  • Baby potatoes , parboiled with skin 12-16

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Mayonnaise 2 tablespoons

  • Dried oregano 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • Dried basil 1 teaspoon

  • Dried parsley 1 teaspoon

  • Dried thyme 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic powder 1 teaspoon

  • Onion powder 1 teaspoon

  • Paprika powder 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Onion , finely chopped to garnish

  • Fresh parsley , finely chopped to garnish


Step 1

Heat sufficient oil in a pan.

Step 2

Lightly press baby potatoes between palms, place on a plate. Add these to the hot oil and deep-fry till golden-brown. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 3

Heat mayonnaise in another non-stick pan, add oregano, chilli flakes, basil, parsley, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika powder and salt and mix well. Add 2 tablespoons water and mix once again.

Step 4

Add fried baby potatoes, mix and remove the pan from heat.

Step 5

Transfer into a serving platter, garnish with onions and fresh parsley and serve hot.
