Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Crispy Chicken Sandwich-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts 4

  • White bread slices 8

  • Onion powder 3/4 teaspoon

  • Paprika powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Crushed black peppercorn to taste

  • Garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Refined flour 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh thyme leaves a few

  • Egg white 1

  • Dried breadcrumbs as required

  • Butter for basting

  • Lettuce leaves as required

  • Mayonnaise for drizzling

  • Tomato slices as required

  • Salad to serve

  • Chips to serve

  • Periperi sauce to serve

Method

Step 1

Cut the chicken into thin horizontal slices and transfer into a large bowl. Add onion powder, paprika, crushed black peppercorns, garlic paste, salt, refined flour, thyme leaves and egg white and mix well.

Step 2

Take dried breadcrumbs on a plate and roll the chicken in it and set aside.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, slide in the chicken pieces, a few at a time, and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 4

Trim the edges of bread slices and apply butter on both the slices. Place a few lettuce leaves and 3-4 fried chicken pieces and drizzle mayonnaise on top.

Step 5

Place a few tomato slices and sprinkle salt and crushed black peppercorns on top. Cover with another slice of bread with the butter side facing down.

Step 6

Serve immediately with salad, chips and periperi sauce.
