By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Nov 2016 in Recipes Course New Update " frameborder="0" allowfullscreen> Main Ingredients Dates, Green apples Cuisine British Course Desserts Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Date and Mixed Fruit Crumble ½ cup Dates chopped 2 medium Green apples peeled and chopped 1 Pear peeled and chopped 1 medium Pineapple peeled and chopped into small pieces ¼ cup Walnuts chopped 1 tablespoon Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder ½ cup Vanilla sponge cake crumbled Crumble - ½ cup Butter 1 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1 cup Refined flour (maida) Method Preheat oven at 180ºC. To make crumble, mix butter and castor sugar with an electric beater in a bowl. Add refined flour and mix with hands till it reaches a breadcrumb consistency. Combine apples, pear, pineapple, walnuts, dates, castor sugar, cinnamon powder and crumbled cake in another bowl and mix well. Place fruit mixture into a glass baking dish and spread evenly. Top with the crumble and spread evenly. Put dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove from heat and serve warm.
