Deep-Fried Cookie Dough These cookies are deep-fried and not baked. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Cookie Dough, Refined flour (maida) Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 1-1.30 hour Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet & Sour Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Deep-Fried Cookie Dough Cookie Dough 1¼ cups Refined flour (maida) ? cup Butter ½ cup brown sugar/jaggery 2 tablespoons Sugar 1 Egg 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence 1 cup Chocolate chips Batter 1¼ cups Refined flour (maida) 1 teaspoon Baking powder ¼ teaspoon Salt ¼ teaspoon Sugar 1 cup + 2 tablespoons Milk 2 teaspoons Oil for deep-frying Oil for dusting Powdered sugar Method To make cookie dough, beat together butter, brown sugar and sugar in a planetary mixer, on medium-high speed till well combined. Add egg and vanilla essence and beat till well combined. Reduce speed to low, add flour and chocolate chips gradually till the dough is formed. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape them into 1inch thick balls. Place them on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 1hour or till firm. To make batter, mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in another bowl. Add milk and oil and whisk till a smooth batter is formed. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the firm cookie dough balls in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden brown. Drain on an absorbent paper.
