Drumsticks and Lauki Soup A healthy soup which gives flavorful and nutritious dish that combines the delicate sweetness of lauki with the distinctive taste of drumsticks. By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 Feb 2020 in Recipes Cuisine New Update Drumsticks and Lauki Soup Main Ingredients Drumsticks, Bottle gourd Cuisine Indian Course Soups Prep Time 15-20 minutes Cook time 20-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 2 medium drumsticks, peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces 1 medium bottle gourd, peeled, cut into ¾ inch cubes 1 tsp oil 1 inch ginger, chopped Salt to taste Black pepper powder to taste Freshly chopped coriander for garnish Crushed black peppercorns to sprinkle Method Heat oil in a pressure cooker; add ginger and sauté for a minute. Add drum sticks, and sauté well. Add bottle gourd and salt. Add sufficient hot water and mix well. Pressure cook till 1-2 whistles are given. Transfer the cooked drumsticks on a plate. Remove the pulp of the drumsticks and discard the peel. Transfer most of the pulp back in the pressure cooker. Keep a few aside for garnish. Blend the mixture in pressure cooker to a fine paste with a hand blender. Transfer the blended mixture in a deep non-stick pan, add black pepper powder, salt and mix well.
