Ingredients for EGGLESS WONDER CAKE BATTER Recipe

  • Yogurt 1/2 cup

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1/2 cup

  • Oil 1/4 cup

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 cup

  • Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon

  • Milk ,at room temperature 1/4 cup

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven at 180℃.

Step 2

Take yogurt in a large bowl. Add castor sugar and beat with an electric beater till the sugar melts.

Step 3

Gradually add the oil in a thin stream while continuously beating the mixture till well combined.

Step 4

Add the vanilla essence and mix.

Step 5

Sift the refined flour, baking powder and baking soda directly into the bowl and gently fold in till a smooth batter is formed.

Step 6

Transfer the batter into a greased round 6 inch round cake tin. Tap it a few times to remove any air bubbles, place it in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Step 7

Bring the cake out of the oven and allow to cool slightly. Run a knife along the sides of the cake tin and gently de-mould it on a wire cooling rack.

Step 8

Slice or use as required.
