By Sanjeev Kapoor 18 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Whole wheat flour, Butter Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 3.30-4 hour Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1¼ cups whole wheat flour ½ cup butter ¼ cup + tablespoon castor sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla essence ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder ¾ teaspoon cinnamon powder 1½ tablespoons milk Method Take butter in a bowl and beat it with an electric beater till smooth. Add ¼ cup castor sugar and whisk till light. Add vanilla essence and whisk. Sift together wheat flour, nutmeg powder and ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder into the bowl and mix well. Add milk and mix to make a dough. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Mix together remaining castor sugar and remaining cinnamon powder on a plate. Preheat oven to 180° C. Roll out the dough into ½ cm thick sheet and cut into roundels with a medium sized round cookie cutter. Place the cookies on a baking tray and sprinkle some cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove the tray from oven and cool.
