Ingredients list for Falafel Waffle

  • 1 cup Chickpeas (kabuli chane) soaked overnight and drained
  • 7-8 Garlic cloves peeled
  • 1 Medium onion chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Cumin powder
  • to taste Black peppercorns crushed
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped
  • for drizzling Oil
  • to serve Salad
  • to serve Pickled beetroot
  • to serve French fries
  • to serve Garlic aioli
  • to garnish Micro greens

Method

  1. Put chickpeas into a food processor jar, add garlic, onion, salt, cumin powder, crushed black peppercorns and parsley and process to a coarse paste.
  2. Heat a non-stick waffle iron, grease it with oil and spread some chickpea mixture evenly.
  3. Drizzle a little more oil, close the lid and cook for 8-10 minutes or till golden and crisp. Make more waffles similarly.
  4. Transfer them onto individual serving plates, garnish with micro greens and serve hot with salad, pickled beetroot, French fries and garlic aioli.
