Ingredients for Five Spice Chicken and Pear Stir Fry Recipe

  • Five spice powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Boneless U.S. Chicken breasts cut into 1 inch cubes 2

  • Medium USA Pear 1

  • Oil 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Ginger finely chopped 1 inch

  • Fresh red chillies diagonally sliced 1-2

  • Dark soy sauce 2 teaspoons

  • Broccoli florets blanched and drained 12-15

  • Sesame oil for drizzling

  • White sesame seeds to garnish


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add ginger and sauté till it is lightly burnt.

Step 2

Quarter the USA Pear, remove the seeds and cut into 1 inch pieces.

Step 3

Add red chillies into the pan. Add U.S. Chicken, mix and sauté on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add dark soy sauce and five spice powder, toss well and continue to cook on high heat for 4-5 minutes.

Step 4

Add pear pieces, toss well and cook for 1-2 minutes or till the pear is slightly softened.

Step 5

Add broccoli florets, toss again and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 6

Take the pan off the heat and transfer into a bowl. Drizzle sesame oil, garnish with white sesame seeds and serve hot.
