Ingredients list for Gajar Pista Burfi

  • 2 cups Pistachios blanched
  • 1 cup Carrots grated
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tin -2 Condensed milk
  • FOR GAJAR HALWA
  • 5 large Carrots grated
  • 3 tablespoons Pure ghee
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tin -2 Condensed milk
  • 1 cup Milk solids (khoya) grated
  • 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. For Pista Burfi, peel pistachios and crush them with a cutter. Take sugar in a pan, add one cup of water and cook till a syrup of one thread consistency is formed.
  2. Add the crushed pistachios and mawa and cook on low heat for five minutes.
  3. For Gajar Halwa, heat pure ghee in another pan, add carrots and sauté on high heat for five minutes.
  4. Add sugar and mix.
