Ingredients list for Gozleme (Turkish Bread)
- 3 cups Refined flour (maida)
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese grated
- 2 tablespoons Yeast
- 1 teaspoon Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- a pinch Salt
- 1 cup Processed cheese grated
- for basting Melted butter
Method
- Combine yeast, castor sugar and two tablespoons of warm water in a bowl. Set aside to activate for ten to fifteen minutes.
- Add this mixture to the flour along with salt and mix well. Add sufficient water and knead to a soft dough. Set aside for ten to fifteen minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into balls. Flatten each ball and roll them into thin discs.
- Mix the processed cheese and mozzarella cheese in a bowl.
- Put some cheese mixture in the center of each rolled disc and gather the edges to make them look like an envelope.
- Heat a non-stick pan. Place the bread and roast till golden from both sides basting with melted butter.
- Serve hot.
