Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Cook time : 31-40 minutes

Ingredients for Green Chilli Chicken Recipe

  • Chicken on the bone , cut into 1 inch pieces 750

  • Light green chillies 1 cup + to garnish

  • Dark green chillies 1/2 cup

  • Ginger-garlic-coriander leaves-green chilli paste 1/4 cup

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Take chicken pieces in a bowl, add ginger-garlic-coriander leaves-green chilli paste, mix and set aside to marinate for 2-3 hours.

Step 2

Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, and once they change color, add light green chillies, dark green chillies and salt, mix, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add the marinated chicken and mix well. Add turmeric powder and a little salt, mix well and cook on high heats for 5 minutes. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 20-25 minutes or till fully done.

Step 4

Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
