Ingredients for Hazelnut Blondie Recipe

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 cups + for dusting

  • Melted butter 1¼ cups + for greasing

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1½ cups

  • Eggs 3

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Hazelnuts roasted and chopped ½ cup + for garnishing

  • White chocolate roughly chopped 200 grams

  • Hazelnut-chocolate spread as required


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180° C. Grease a square baking tin with some butter and dust with some flour.

Step 2

Beat together butter and castor sugar till light

Step 3

Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Add vanilla essence and beat till well combined.

Step 4

Sieve together flour and baking powder into the mixture. Add hazelnuts and mix till well combined. Add chocolate and mix well.

Step 5

Pour this mixture into the prepared tin and tap. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove from oven, cool and demould.

Step 6

Spread hazelnut-chocolate spread on top. Garnish with hazelnuts and serve.
