By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 Apr 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Red apples , Cashew nuts Cuisine British,Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet & Sour Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Healthy Fruit and Nut Toasted Sandwich - SK Khazan 4 medium Red apples peeled and cored 10-12 Cashew nuts roasted 1/4 cup Roasted almonds 1/4 cup Walnuts roasted 8 Whole wheat bread slices 2 teaspoons Butter +as required 1 cup Orange juice 1 cup Paneer (cottage cheese) greated to serve Maple syrup Method Thickly slice apples and set aside Heat butter in a non-stick pan, place the apple slices and cook for 1-2 minutes on both sides. Add orange juice and cook for 2-3 minutes or till the moisture dries up. Put cashew nuts, almonds and walnuts in a mortar and pestle and pound to a coarse powder. Take cottage cheese in a bowl, add nuts mixture and mix well. Set aside. Apply butter on one side of each bread slice and spread the apple mixture evenly on four slices of bread. Spread a portion of the nut-cottage cheese mixture over the apple. Cover with remaining slices of bread. Heat a little butter on a grill pan and place the sandwiches and grill for 1-2 minutes, flip and apply a little butter. Grill further for 1-2 minutes.
