Ingredients list for Honey Glazed Beans

  • 250 grams French beans stringed
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon White sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • a little Lemon rind
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chillies

  1. Dry roast sesame seeds in a non stick pan till they turn a light brown. Put them into a bowl. Heat some water in the pan. Cut the beans diagonally into 1 inch pieces and add to the water. Add salt and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a non stick wok. Put some ice cubes in a bowl of water. Drain the beans from the pan and put into the iced water. Add grated ginger to the oil left in the wok and saute for 1 minute. Add soy sauce.
  3. Grate a little lemon rind. Drain and add the chilled beans to the wok and toss well. Add salt, lemon rind, honey and crushed red chillies and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl, sprinkle roasted white sesame seeds on top and serve hot.
