Ingredients list for Indian Nachos

  • 1 cup Maize flour (makai ka atta)
  • 1/2 cup Refined flour (maia)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Tata Sampann Dal masala
  • to drizzle to deep fry Oil
  • to serve Sour cream

Method

  1. Take maize flour in a bowl, add refined flour, turmeric powder, salt and Tata Sampann Dal Masala and mix well. Make a well in the centre, add sufficient water and knead into semi-soft dough.
  2. Drizzle a little oil on the worktop. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls. Flatten each ball slightly, place it on the greased worktop and roll out into a thin sheet. Prick with fork all over the sheet. Trim the sides to form a rectangle, discard the edges and cut into triangles and place them a plate.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  4. Slide these triangles into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Arrange the nachos on a serving platter and serve with sour cream.
