Ingredients for Indian Nachos Recipe

  • Maize flour (makai ka atta) 1 cup

  • Refined flour (maia) 1/2 cup

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Tata Sampann Dal masala 2 tablespoons

  • Oil to drizzle to deep fry

  • Sour cream to serve


Step 1

Take maize flour in a bowl, add refined flour, turmeric powder, salt and Tata Sampann Dal Masala and mix well. Make a well in the centre, add sufficient water and knead into semi-soft dough.

Step 2

Drizzle a little oil on the worktop. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls. Flatten each ball slightly, place it on the greased worktop and roll out into a thin sheet. Prick with fork all over the sheet. Trim the sides to form a rectangle, discard the edges and cut into triangles and place them a plate.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 4

Slide these triangles into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Arrange the nachos on a serving platter and serve with sour cream.
