This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 20 Feb 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Kala jamuns, Kala jamun pulp Cuisine Indian Course Mithais Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Jamun Bread Halwa 12-16 Kala jamuns 1/2 cup Kala jamun pulp to deep fry Oil 1 cup Sugar 6 White bread slices 1 tablespoon Pistachios chopped 1 tablespoon almonds chopped 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 1/2 cup Khoya/mawa crumbled 2 cups Thickened milk 1 tablespoon Raisins fried Method Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Put the kala jamun in a steel cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Put them into a non-stick pan, add sugar and kala jamun pulp and mix. Cook stirring at intervals and mashing the fruits so that the seeds separate. Keep the bread slices one on top of the other, trim the edges and cut into big pieces. Put them into the hot oil and deep-fry till golden. Drain them on absorbent paper. Remove the kala jamun seeds and discard. Add 1 cup water and mix. Add fried bread pieces, pistachios, almonds and green cardamom powder and mix well. Cook till bread pieces soften. Add khoya, thickened milk and raisins and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Switch off heat. Transfer into serving bowl and serve hot.
