By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Jun 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Basmati rice, Jasmine flowers Cuisine Thai Course Rice Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Jasmine Rice 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice 20-25 Jasmine flowers 2 tablespoons Oil 1 small Onion ,chopped 1/2 medium Yellow capsicum, seeded and chopped 1/2 medium Red capsicum, seeded and chopped to taste Salt 3-4 stalks Spring onion greens, chopped Method Soak rice in four cups of water for half an hour. Drain. Boil five cups of water with salt. Add soaked rice. After a while make a potli of jasmine flowers and add to the water for a short time. When the rice is half done remove the potli, drain the water and keep the rice aside. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and sauté. Add chopped yellow and red capsicums and sauté. Add rice and stir gently. Add salt, spring onion greens, cover and cook till the rice is fully done but the grains remain separated.
